Acid Wash

Acid washing is a process that is done on a pebble tec® or plaster pool to remove a thin layer of the surface to remove stubborn stains and calcium deposits. The pool is drained and the sides scrubbed. Then a solution of muriatic acid and water is applied to remove the top coat of the pool. If you regularly clean your pool and keep it in good shape, chances are you will only need to acid wash your swimming pool every 5-7 years.

Your pool filter needs to be cleaned during peak pool season at least once a month or more depending on your filtration system. Using the circulation produced by the pool's pump, your filter collects and removes bugs, debris, dirt, and more. But the filter can quickly fill up. If it is not regularly cleaned, it will no longer work efficiently, and it may cause strain on pool equipment or make the water unsafe for swimmers.

Chlorine Bath

A chlorine Bath is a specialized maintenance technique used in pool care, particularly effective for addressing issues like algae infestations, bacterial growth, and surface sanitation. Chlorine bath involve the use of a liquid chlorine solution, which acts as a powerful disinfectant to thoroughly cleanse and sanitize the plaster. Unlike acid washes, chlorine bath focus primarily on eradicating organic contaminants like algae and bacteria, rather than mineral deposits or staining.
